Barrels made of fine horseshoe damascus, concave rib inlaid with silver "Imman Meffert in Suhl", silver inlays on barrel shoulder, extractor, rounded bascule with forearm engraved with fancy foliage and hunting scene left foxhounds, right fox with ducks and on tang Hubertus with stag, cocking indicator on tang, safety lever behind trigger covered with horn, engraved trigger guard and plate, walnut stock with worn chequering, oval cheek piece, iron butt plate, forend connected with system with Deeley latch and bone Schnabel tip.
Collector's weapon without (valid) proof, transferred for storage due to its artistic or collectible value.
Immanuel Meffert started gunsmithing in Suhl in 1839 and the company remained until 1959. After that, it was integrated into the craft community "Hubertus" after the owner Georg Meffert fled to the West.
