Founded in 1752, Hambrusch is one of the oldest documented Ferlach gunsmiths, and is now in its 8th generation as continues to operate as a now widely known gunsmith. Like so many Ferlach businesses, industrialization was a challenge for the craft business, but Hambrusch was able to profit more than others from the Anschluss in 1938. In the heyday of the 60's and 70's, 15 gunsmiths produced 100 rifles per year. Today, only about 25 pieces per year of the high-quality weapons are manufactured, these are of special quality and design.
