Damascus barrels newly browned, slightly concave engine-turned rib, inlaid with "The Braendlin Armoury Co Ltd Birmingham", breakaway fore-end, extractor, rebounding dolphin-shaped hammers, bar-action sidelocks, system engraved with arabesques, rotating lower lever, double trigger, straight stock, blank gold monogram plate, dark blued metal butt plate. Early Birmingham proof marks. Engraved on system side with "The Breandlin Army Co Ltd" which also indicates for arms production in military use. Braendlin produced a number of shotguns, especially in the 19th century, but also pistols, including the four-barrel Martin-Marres-Braendlin Mitribleuse pistol designed by Abraham Martin for officers. Externally well restored, but barrels inside scarred. Collector's weapon with obsolete British proof.
