Coded S/42 1937, acceptance eagle above 63 right, matching numbers as far as can be seen except for the milled magazine, operating parts tempered yellow, original finish with the usual wear marks in the exposed areas, nice grip panels with sharp checkering, good barrel, no proof marks - collector's gun. Comes with a black authority pistol case, marked P.08, presumably after 1945. 1937 was the year of Mauser's transition from the old finish to dip bluing, where no more yellow-tempered operating parts were used.
