Pistol with interesting bolt system (with sling lever) as civilian production of the Finnish army pistol. Manufactured after the 2nd World War with about 2,000 pieces. Signed "VALMET L-35" at the top of the case, only about 8,000 pieces of the Lathi were made in Finland in total, while the Swedish military variant M40 is significantly more common. Our specimen has a special high gloss finish and was apparently intended as a representational gift on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of this model (1935-1985). Factory new condition, no proof, in a glassed presentation case from 1985 with silver plaque on and sectional drawing in the lid, no proof, due to light scratches on the barrel & system condition 2.
