72 cm smooth octagonal barrel of blued iron, from the middle fluted edges, gold inlaid maker's name, gold inlaid ribbons on breech, dovetailed front sight with hood, rear sight removed, adjustable aperture sight on tang, opening lever on the right of the "lockplates", these engraved with bold foliate scroll, tilting barrel with spring release, iron furniture engraved en-suite, forged finger rest, needle set trigger, hooked buttplate 32 cm, lavishly carved walnut half stock, sloping cheekpiece, thumbrest on the right, silver escutcheon in fore-end engraved with monogram, stud for a winding crank on the right of the buttstock, with a small leather covered case with all accessories, year of manufacture about 1850, presumably restored to condition II - III.
