74 cm fluted browned barrels of twist Damascus, concave rib, percussion locks adapted from flintlock, inscribed with maker's name, dolphin-shaped hammers, iron furniture, trigger guard and steel buttplate engraved with trophies, walnut full-stock, 35cm, horn tip, sloping cheekpiece, silver monogram panel on tang with initials, presumably contemporary replaced ramrod, year of manufacture about 1800, adapted about um 1830, the gunmaker family Mortimer was purveyor to the Royal Court of Britain, to the Honourable East India Company and to the United States of America, condition III.
