74 cm barrels of blued twist Damascus, octagonal to the end of the fore-end and after engraveden barrel bands round to the muzzle, breech ends inlaid with gold ribbons, maker's marks surrounded by silver inlaid cruciform marks, soldered silver coloured front sight, gold-washed flash-holes, flintlocks in French style, colour-hardened raised lock-plates, silver inlaid flowers on plate and hammers, nicely shaped batteries, tail-pin surrounded by silver plate engraved with flowers and foliate scroll, on tang a gold coloured oval engraved with a monogram, also surrounded with engraved silver plate, nicely grained walnut half-stock with integral, carved trigger guard, inlaid with engraved silver plate decorated with a cat's mask and signed with a monogram, elaborate carving of foliate scroll and rocailles, tang inlaid with fine silver wire, right hand butt multiply cannelured, comb inlaid with engraved steel plate, 3 silver coloured pipes for the walnut ramrod, carved finger rest, sling swivels, very fine masterwork in the French baroque rococo style, year of manufacture around 1750, old repair on fore-end wood, otherwise very well preserved condition II.
