Bolt action rifle Enfield No. 5 Jungle Carbine cal. 303 British #BB7300 § C

Starting price 500 EUR
Result:
600 EUR

Barrel length with flash hider 52 cm (20.5"), stock length 34 cm (13.8"), overall length 100 cm (39.4"), weight 3.13 kg, year of manufacture 1945, German proof, condition 2-3.
The famous "Jungle Carbine" was created for the war against the Japanese in Southeast Asia during World War II. The British fought there shoulder to shoulder with the Americans against the Japanese Empire. Compared to the Lee-Enfield infantry rifles, the weapon was shortened and lightened in weight, which required a muzzle flash hider on the one hand and a rubber buttplate on the other to soften the now greater recoil. Thus, the now very leading weapon was ideally suited for combat in the tropical jungles of Asia.
Possibly revised, mirror-finished barrel.
