Barrel length 9 cm, weight 0,96 kg, German proof, condition 2-3.
Factory nickel plated, smooth walnut grip panels with inlaid Colt emblem. This model was launched by Colt in 1985 and was a scaled down version of the 1911A1, intended as a private weapon for officers of the US armed forces. Of course, it was also sold on the civilian market and was quite successful in the USA.
In 1846/47 Samuel Colt designed his first production-ready revolvers, still with percussion ignition. In 1848 the first factory was built and Colt has been one of the most important manufacturers of revolvers ever since. But it was not until the designs of J.M. Browning (Mod. 1895 and M1911) and Eugene Stoner (M16) that Colt celebrated its greatest commercial successes, becoming one of the standard bearers of the US armed forces. In the meantime, Colt has become a part of the CZ Group.
