The Mosin-Nagant bolt action rifle system is one of the three leading military bolt action rifle systems in the history of arms, along with the Mauser 98 and Lee-Enfield systems. The Russian Colonel Mosin designed the bolt and the Belgian Nagant the magazine. The present specimen is a very special piece, as it was manufactured in the USA for Russia as an assistance shipment during the First World War.
