Good original condition, barrel still good. The lower ring is mounted incorrectly, therefore the original sling is loose. The model designation refers to the year of introduction 1905, the 38th year on the throne of the then reigning Japanese Emperor of the Meiji Dynasty. Quite rare as a carbine.
