sidelock-s/s shotgun V. Bernardelli - Gardone Mod. Roma 6 Special cal. 20/70 serial #126116

Starting price 3.700 EUR
Result:
6.000 EUR

barrel length 70 cm (27,5"), stock length 36,5 cm (14,5"), total length 112,5 cm (44,5"), choke 1/4 & 3/4 (IM & IC), weight 2,9 kg, year of manufacture 1973, Italian proof, condition 2
engine-turned rib, the barrel tops mat filed, concealed third grip, ejectors, light bascule, engraving of flower bouquets surrounded by countless fine arabesques signed "Italo Bonomi", purdey nose, side locks with present springs, sear, interior surfaces circopolished, sliding tang safety, upper lever pierced, deeply engraved flowers on the fences, mechanical, non-selective trigger, crosshatched trigger guard, elegantly grained walnut stock, Woodward grip, fine checkering, cut stock end, Anson push-rod in a leather-covered maker's case.
A light and delicate shotgun with exquisitely beautiful engravings: the floral bouquets stand out vividly against the arabesques, almost like a hologram. The locks are obviously hardly used, all mechanics still exude the feel of a new gun.
Vincenco Bernadelli S.p.A. has its historical origins in the Trompia Valley near Brescia. Founder Vincenzo Bernadelli began producing weapons independently of the Franzini Arms Factory in 1865. Initially with handguns and at the turn of the century also in the field of hunting shotguns. In addition to a large number of pistols produced and military orders listed, Bernadelli is historically remembered as the first Italian manufacturer of a semi-automatic shotgun. The high-quality shotguns in particular are among the finest pieces in the company's history. Vincenco Bernadelli S.p.A. existed in its original form and family ownership until 1997 and thus looks back on over a century of gun manufacturing.
