Starting price 1.200 EUR

barrel length 77 cm (30,5"), stock length 36 cm (14,25"), total length 119 cm (46,75"), weight 3,1 kg, no proof, condition II.
Star damask barrels. The maker "Pirko in Wien" inlaid in gold at the top back of the barrel rib, lockplates deeply engraved with arabesques and hunting scenes according to the entry on the steel butt plate by H. Mulatsch in Vienna, as well as the fittings, gold inlays on barrel root, hammer and wrist, there also a empty brass monogram plate, beautifully grained walnut stock with German cheek piece and intersections in the stock wirst area, barely noticeable stock crack in the stock wirst area, horn hand rest, sling swivel, ramrod with brass tip. The well-known Viennese gunsmith Karl Pirko is documented in Vienna from 1831 to 1867. The engraver H. Mulatsch is apparently the brother or son of Anton Mulacz, who is mentioned in Vienna from 1860-1893. Overall a high quality weapon from the heyday of Viennese gunsmithing in the 19th century in excellent condition.
