Barrel inscribed "William Evans, 63 Pall Mall. St. James's. London." , fixed rear sight with 2 additional hinged rear sights inscribed "200" and "300", two-stage trigger not secured against being pushed forward, wing safety, spherical bolt handle, select walnut stock with fine checkering and horn finish, Prince of Wales grip, steel butt plate, stock monogram plate with "P.H.S.", side mount with Pecar Berlin Champion 4 x 35 reticle 8, in a linen covered case leather butt edges, leather strap and leather monogram outside "P.H.S.", inside with manufacturer's trade label.
The name "Schoenauer" and the matching cartridge 6,5 X 54 MS are inseparable. A highly successful cartridge to this day, which can count from deer, chamois to over 300 elephants among its successes, in one of the most popular rifles to this day, not only in its homeland Austria. Numerous hunting personalities such as Karamoja Bell or Winston Churchill were friends and enthusiastic users of a Schoenauer in this equally legendary caliber.
According to the friendly information of Patrick Hawes (General Manager of William Evans LTD) this rifle was delivered to "F.S. Mead" in about 1924
